Several years ago, God gave the vision for NTGG to Paul Jackson, NTGG’s founder. Paul realized that God had profoundly blessed him with gifts, but understood that his gifts were undeserved and needed to be developed and appreciated. Paul also understood that he should use his gifts to the best of his ability and never take them for granted.
For these reasons, NTGG believes that everyone has a gift. The vision of NTGG is to inspire people of all ages to recognize, develop, share, and never take their gifts for granted.
NTGG’s goal is to inform, remind and inspire people to develop their gifts in a way that will not only improve their own lives, but those around them in a positive manner.
With basketball, motivational speaking, and athletic apparel, NTGG motivates individuals to become all they were created to be. NTGG is more than a name. It’s a lifestyle!
“What makes you better than anyone else? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if all you have is from God, why boast as though you have accomplished something on your own?” 1 Corinthians 4:7 (New Living Translation)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (New Living Translation)
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10 (New Living Translation)
The colors for NTGG were chosen symbolically based on the biblical principles of sin and redemption through our Savior, Jesus Christ. BLACK was chosen as a symbol for sin and RED for the blood of Jesus that washes us WHITE as snow.
Learning to play and compete in the game of basketball can change a young person’s future. NTGG coaches have not only played basketball at a competitive collegiate level, but they have been sharing their gift of basketball with hundreds of youth in the Denton area through coaching, training, camps and clinics. Their coaching style is known to bring renewed confidence and intensity to a player’s game while strengthening ball-handling skills and focusing on a superior work ethic.
Our mission is to thoroughly equip young athletes to become basketball players, not position players, and to teach them to Never Take the Gift of Basketball for Granted. At NTGG, your athlete will learn the key physical and mental skills to become a better basketball player.
Paul Jackson, Jr. grew up in Tyler, Texas. In high school, Paul turned his focus to academics, basketball and music. However, he realized he had a special love and a gift for the game of basketball.
After graduating from high school, Paul attended Wiley College for a year and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) on a partial music scholarship. Although Paul studied hard, attended a local church, played the double bass in SFA’s orchestra, worked part-time and volunteered at an elementary school, he realized that he had a void in his life. The void was basketball.
With this in mind, Paul tried out for the SFA Lumberjack basketball team. He was accepted onto the team and began playing the power forward and center positions. During his time as a Lumberjack, Paul realized that although he was 6’6″ he needed to be comfortable with the ball anywhere on the court. So he worked harder to improve his skills. His efforts paid off when he earned a full basketball scholarship his senior year, which enabled him to quit his part-time job and fully dedicate himself to academics and basketball. Paul graduated from SFA in 1996 with a BBA in Business.
Since then, Paul has been living in the Denton area and coaching basketball.
